About Ivan

Ivan passed gracefully into the Otherworld on September 23, 2016.  He is still very much engaged and involved with our Druid School and any student who is open to his wise and joyful guidance! 

This interview with Ivan was recorded in his last year by Sophia Carr-Gomm; Philip’s lovely daughter.  Enjoy!  

Ivan McBeth is a Druid in the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, and is the founder of the Green Mountain Druid Order, a modern mystery school based in Worcester, Vermont. Ivan, with his partner Fearn, teach ongoing 3-year Druid trainings and help guide a steady stream of empowered Druids to make a real difference in the world. He is a founding member of the Oak Dragon Project in Britain, and teaches regularly in various schools of healing and geomancy. He leads regular ceremonies and courses around Vermont with his partner Fearn.

His passion is the creation of sacred space, and stone circles in particular. He is a founding member of the Circles for Peace project in the USA, and is co-responsible for the “Burlington Earth Clock’ stone circle by the bike path in Oakledge Park, Burlington, Vermont, and another 20 full-sized stone circles around the world. He is a Reiki Master, and the author of a book called ‘Crystal Journey.’ He is resident DJ of ‘Trance’n Dance’ with Fearn, who facilitate ecstatic dancing throughout Vermont.

He is co-founder of Hugworts Magic School for kids, and visits schools with his wife Fearn sharing magic and meaningful fun with little (and not-so-little!) ones. In 2011 he was founding member of ‘The Council of All Beings’ who facilitated and welcomed the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers to Montpelier to spin their unique and awesome magic.

Ivan loves magic and loves life, and is committed to promote peace and the creation of sacred space in the world. To quote him on one of his good days: “Heaven is where you open your eyes in the morning!”
